This is one of the most important articles you’ll ever read, because there’s a trap set and you’ll find yourself like a fly in a spider web sooner rather than later. Without even realizing, it can be very enticing to go battering ram mode into it.
I once heard a dutch saying from a successful business owner:
In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.
It’s great because it highlights that you don’t necessarily have to be light years ahead of everyone, but slightly better than them.
A “one-eyed man” that I know runs a profitable business. Everything is going well, until his only good employee in a particular area got abducted by aliens and was tied to a chair, forced to listen to a dreadful AI voice singing jazz music.
The business owner started to go nuts because it was unexpected. His eyes turned red, his veins were about to pop one by one just like microwaving popcorn.
It was like the man was about to rampage everything in sight like a raging juggernaut.
I was there when it happened, and the short notice in which the problem came hit him harder than Mike Tyson’s uppercut.
The mistake he made was that he got dependent on ONE good employee, and that’s the dumbest thing you can do.
The Most Hidden Mistake That Every Business Owner Falls Into
If you rely on one pillar in any area of your business, you are basically asking the universe to screw you over. One is the worst number in business.
⠀
One key staff person.
One source of leads.
One big client.
Imagine you only have one good employee.
If that person gets sick, dies, quits, goes rogue, gets abducted by aliens, goes working for the competition, you’re not in hot water, you’re in an acid pool.
That’s on you, because you should have had insights into the methodology, into the passwords, etc.
Same goes if you have a one lead generation method, one way of getting customers in the door.
Something is going to happen to that one lead generation. A lot of business owners bite the dust, some of them knew they should have got another method, but they didn’t. They were too busy with more important stuff.
You’ll think everything is going fine until one thing breaks, and that one thing is your only crucial business holder.
Not an ideal way of doing things.
How To Ensure That Your Business NEVER Fails
It’s simple to prevent this from happening: double it (but don’t give it to the next person).
This means that if you have one of anything in your business, you should preferably get it at a 2 as soon as possible.
Even if it’s going to take you some extra time and some extra hassle, it will be worth it. One day they kick away your one pillar that is holding the building, and the whole building crumbles.
It shouldn’t break, you never expect it to break, but it still happens. Do you have only one lead magnet? You should preferably have 2 at least. One good employee? Make sure you have some insights on his work.
Same with your marketing, we’re always looking to get an ad to work… and then we branch it out across many different platforms.
⠀
Meta ads working? Awesome.
⠀
Let’s look at Youtube.
And Google.
And offline.
And direct mail.
And cold email.
And autoresponder marketing.
And affiliate marketing.
And referral marketing.
And anything else we can think of.

This is the only dependable way to become ‘Hard to Kill’ or ‘Hard to Cancel’.
It is better to take some time into this, then regret it later.
