If you’re reading this, you probably you own a:
"business business", as Hasbulla says.
We always look at things like:
Is there a demand for my product/service?
Can I solve my clients’ problems?
Am I able to satisfy their needs?
Where am I going to find my clients?
How will I reach them?
I could go on until 2047, and these things are all important!
A common issue is finding a hungry market.
Not hungry for food, “hungry” for what you are selling. If you own a restaurant or run a food business you can take it in the literal way.
If you have a clothing store, not the best idea to find literally hungry people and try to feed them jeans and t-shirts.
They would simply say:
Brother ew! What’s that brother?
We sell to people who need what we provide.
It’s not a process and you don’t need to follow certain steps.
Pull The Excalibur Out Of The Stone And Shatter False Beliefs
If you follow a process that leads nowhere, it’s as rewarding as eating soup with a fork. You need to move through your daily activities with “money lens”, looking at:
What is a business doing?
How do they get money?
What is their problem?
Where are they advertising?
Is their advertising good?
Is their website good?
Is their copy good?
All sorts of stuff.
How To Find Your Perfect Clients
Let’s say you are a copywriter, someone that improves the results of a business’ advertising. If they use Google ads, what can you improve? Google ad words.
You should already know how to improve it. Because..
..most Google ads that businesses run are horrible.
You have the fishing rod, stack the bait and throw it.
Make sure it’s in a pond with fish, not on land.
When you’re trying to find hungry crowds, it makes sense to go after people that already spend money on advertising.
You can find keywords in the Google interface or some blog posts.
Expensive keywords so you know which businesses are spending a lot of money on scoring high and you can get some inspiration from that.
You should always be scanning your surroundings and your daily activity for:
Is this a business that has money?
Are these business owners interested in improving their results?
Are they focused on conversions?
Can/should they hire someone like me?
Can I add value to their business?
When you have your hungry market radar on, you will find these everywhere.
